Beauregard Traditional Oriental Area Rug

The Beauregard Traditional Oriental Navy Scatter Mat Rug has a really vibrant color and a traditional design that perfectly matches our other oriental rugs in the house. It's low pile and has bound edges, just like a normal area rug. Because of this, I thought the Beauregard Traditional Oriental Navy Scatter Mat Rug would make a great choice to use as a door mat, near the front door -- and I was right. It looks lovely. However, the rug wasn't ready to use right away. It came rolled up very tightly and required a couple days of being laid out and weighed down to loose the rolled shape and the edges still aren't perfectly flat, so your shoes catch on it often. I assume that will get better over time, it's just slightly irritating right now. Also, the rug is very slippery on the back and won't stay put, so you'll need to buy a rug backing if you're using it on a hard surface, otherwise it's going to be dangerous. I prefer my door mats to be ready-to-use, so I thought I'd mention that to anyone else looking for a door mat. So essentially this is like a small, traditional area rug, only where a larger area rug uses its weight to stay in place, this small rug doesn't have that advantage. A little non-slip backing fixes the issue and allows you to enjoy the beautiful, traditional look of an oriental rug in a much smaller space. With a small bit of tweaking, it was a nice addition to my home. I'll also mention that the low pile height of the rug makes it easy to keep clean, either with a vacuum or simply by picking it up, taking it outside and shaking it a little.

I'm very pleased with my Beauregard Traditional Oriental rug. This design never goes out of style. The design is classic and traditional. The colors are rich and look wonderful in my living room. Rug is made very well with obvious quality material and stitching. I'm sure I won't be having to replace for a very long time.

I brought this beautiful rug about a month ago, and I'm so glad I did. This rug is so beautiful and plush I have it in my bed room infront of my bed. I love the feel on my feet. No one is allowed to walk on it with shoes on.

Its very pretty. I like that it doesn't have a "backing" because it doesnt come apart in the washer. But be careful since it doesnt have a backing you'll need to use a rug stabilizer otherwise you'll slip everytime your feet hit the rug.
